Permanent role offering leadership development Competitive salary and attractive employee benefits Join a driven, experienced and supportive team environment About the Role Reporting to the Manager Operations - Inner Harbour, the role is responsible for managing planning, scheduling, and integration of Port Services labour to ensure provision of Port Operations and Security Services to the Port. Key duties include: Management and co-ordination of Port Services teams including workforce planning, leave management, resourcing and training, overtime and timesheet accountability, budgets, and industrial issues. Ensure understanding of staff service levels expected and report on productivity and progress against established operational plans and targets. Responsible for leading a security team and holding them accountable on shift, taking ownership of the security operations on shift, you will also lead the provision of control room, guard houses and patrols, as well as emergency and incident management. You will provide advice and direction during daily operations and as part of a response. Coordination and management of operations, and response to incidents involving personnel and organisational assets in line with legislation, organisational plans and supporting documentation. Support the coordination and continuous allocation of team labour and equipment so that functions are undertaken in the most efficient, effective and safe manner. Support Security Management and the Security Service Centre with managing port access, requests for information, security system application, work order follow up, and requests for information. Essential Criteria Possession of relevant post-secondary or tertiary qualification/s, and/or relevant experience in a Port or Marine operations environment. Experience in leading and managing in an industrial operational environment and a mid-sized operational workforce. Well-developed understanding of safety and security in a heavy industry operational environment. Sound knowledge and demonstrated ability with contemporary management and leadership practices, with a track record in creating a sustained high-performance culture. Proven implementation of workforce and operational works planning and scheduling to optimise labour utilisation to meet operational and customer requirements. Desirable Certificate II Security Operations or qualification in relevant field including but not limited to Security, Frontline Operations and Management. Demonstrated security experience.
