Protech have the opportunity to join a construction business unit of the Queensland Government as a Construction Supervisor. The position is initially short term running until the end of the financial year where duration will be evaluated. The position will be positioned in Rockhampton. The primary purpose of the position is to assist in managing and coordinating project planning and delivery activities in order to maximise project profitability and ensure client satisfaction. The position will focus on ensuring the services provided meet quality and value for money expectations of clients. Produce high quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations and project trade packages, including material lists and construction programs. Provide a level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken, including assisting in the planning and delivery of projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors. Coordinate and undertake the delivery of a high- quality condition assessment services for a variety of clients, including inspections/surveys of building elements and construction materials including collecting samples of suspected asbestos containing materials for laboratory testing. Undertake inspection services including tenancy management services and maintenance referrals on behalf of Government Employee Housing. Promoting the clients products and services to existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and established forums, and identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging economic, legislative and environmental programs Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff (if applicable) Must have: Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card. While not mandatory, a construction industry-related trade qualification would be considered favourably. Travel may be an integral activity for this (or as negotiated). The majority of this will be road travel, and there may also be occasions (if required) where you will travel by light aircraft.
