What’s The Role: Reporting to the Head of Safety, Risk & Compliance, you’ll lead the Lindsay Australia Safety and Compliance Audit Plan across 60 branches and depots nationwide. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive audit quality, strengthen assurance frameworks, and influence safety and compliance outcomes across the business. You’ll work closely with external auditors, maintain accreditation standards, and uplift capability through coaching, education, and continuous improvement. With a strong focus on risk and compliance, you’ll assess safety and food safety management systems, policies, and procedures—while partnering with leaders to build capability and embed best practice across operations. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safety and compliance audits across rural, transport and logistics operations Ensure the audit program meets regulatory and accreditation requirements Translate audit findings into practical system and process improvements Identify gaps in safety practices and compliance, recommending corrective actions Provide expert advice on risk mitigation and regulatory obligations Build audit capability across the business through coaching and education Stay current with accreditation requirements and industry best practice Prepare clear, actionable audit reports and partner with stakeholders on outcomes Collaborate with senior leaders to drive safety initiatives and culture Monitor and track the implementation of audit actions and improvements What You’ll Bring: To excel in this role, you’ll need experience working with safety obligations and understanding of accreditation requirements across Work Health and Safety (WHS), Food Safety, Transport and ISO certifications and accreditations. You should have solid experience in safety audits, compliance checks, and understand health and safety risk management practices within transport and/or agricultural industries. An ability to build positive and productive relationships with key stakeholders is a must. Good communication and report-writing skills are key, along with the ability to work well on your own and with a team.
