Senior Project Manager ABOUT THE ROLE The Senior Project Manager is a senior, hands-on delivery role responsible for planning and executing complex digital initiatives from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation. This role is accountable for disciplined project management across multiple workstreams, with a strong emphasis on practical delivery, governance, risk management, and execution. The Senior Project Manager will work directly with delivery teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are implemented effectively, safely, and on time. You will be deeply involved in the day-to-day management of projects, including planning, dependency management, issue resolution, and decision-making, rather than operating solely at a strategic or oversight level. ABOUT YOU IN THE ROLE Your directorate: Digital Technology You'll report to: Digital Delivery Lead Your key relationships: Digital Technology staff, Change Management Team, Project Sponsors, Business Managers, Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, and Business End Users. You are a pragmatic and delivery-focused Senior Project manager who thrives in complex environments. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed levels, switching easily between executive conversations and hands-on delivery activities. You bring structure, clarity, and momentum to ambiguous situations and are known for reliably getting things done. YOUR KEY CAPABILITIES Strong end-to-end project management expertise Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Proven ability to manage delivery risk and complexity Skilled in Agile, hybrid, and/or waterfall methodologies Commercial and financial acumen Structured, organised, and outcome-oriented Resilient and adaptable under pressure QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications: Bachelor qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Experience: 7 years' experience delivering complex projects Demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and vendors Experience delivering technology, digital, or business transformation initiatives Proficiency with project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, MS Project) Desirable: Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) Experience in large or regulated environments
