We're now looking for a Health Information Services Officer to join our supportive Health Information Services team and play a vital role in our hospital operations. As a Health Information Services Officer, you'll support the day-to-day operations of the Health Information Services department, ensuring medical records are managed efficiently and in line with privacy and compliance standards. Full-time role (part-time job share may be considered for the right candidates) Monday to Friday , with flexibility required (must have availability for shifts ranging between 6.30am to 5.30pm) Report directly to the Health Information Services Team Leader Key Responsibilities Compile and maintain complete medical records for discharged patients Retrieve and file medical records using terminal digit filing systems Manage off-site storage preparation and record culling Collect records from wards and handle incoming correspondence Respond to telephone enquiries professionally Release health information to internal and external stakeholders in line with Healthscope policies What You'll Bring Essential: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Clear written and verbal communication Ability to work both independently and collaboratively High attention to detail and organisational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Desirable: Experience in a healthcare administration environment Familiarity with WebPAS or similar patient administration systems Understanding of patient privacy, confidentiality and medical terminology Why Join Healthscope?
