Description Reporting to the Principal – IT Infrastructure Lead, the Senior Systems Administrator is a senior technical role where you will design, deliver and continuously improve the systems that keep Harmony’s operations running across corporate teams and mining sites. You will work on meaningful infrastructure projects, solve complex problems end-to-end, and partner with stakeholders to build reliable, secure platforms that support our teams across Australasia. Roster: Full-time roster of 5 days on / 2 days off (Monday to Friday) based at our Milton office Flexible working arrangements, including up to 2 days per week working from home This role will include occasional Domestic and international travel across our sites in Australasia Responsibilities Provide level 3 support across corporate and mine site IT environments. Deliver infrastructure projects, including new builds and upgrades. Engineer and maintain Windows/Linux servers across Azure, Hyper-V, and Nutanix. Monitor and analyse performance, capacity, and security events. Resolve, document and lead response to incidents, outages, and degraded services. Maintain clear documentation and current records in service desk and project tools. Contribute to stand-ups, retrospectives, and project meetings. Provide technical and architectural input, owning key backend capabilities across the hosting platform, security, DR/BC, and operational standards. Partner with vendors to implement and support third-party solutions. Translate technical issues and options for non-technical stakeholders. Mentor team members and function as the final escalation point. Safey Skills and Responsibilities: Accept responsibility for correcting unsafe acts and conditions. Qualifications At least 5 years’ experience recent in a similar role Relevant experience on Windows and Linux server and desktop operating systems Strong literacy skills, particularly in IT system documentation. Understanding of Network, Wireless and Security technologies Experience and/or qualifications with the following technologies: Hyper-V Nutanix Veeam SQL Solarwinds Orion Dell server hardware Active Directory and Entra Azure compute and networking Exchange On-prem, M365 and Mimecast email systems OT systems Experience working with PNG or third world communities. List any licenses or certifications: e.g. MCTS, MCSE, MCSA, ITIL, MCITP, RHCT, MSCA, Nutanix, etc. About You: You are smart, organised and calm under pressure.
