The Flour House is seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a love for baking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare, bake, and finish a range of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads, and other baked items Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards consistently Assist with decorating and plating pastries and desserts Ensure all products are fresh, of high quality, and produced on time Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work area at all times Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures Work closely with the kitchen team to support daily operations and service periods Assist with new menu items and seasonal pastry offerings where required Skills and Experience Previous experience as a Pastry Cook, Baker, or similar role Relevant culinary or pastry qualifications are a must with Knowledge of pastry preparation, baking techniques, and dessert production- minimum of Certificate 3 - certificate 4 in patisserie preferred.
