This is a Senior Network Administrator role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Network Administrator role at Queensland Government The Senior Network Administrator is assisting in designing, managing, enriching and securing the departmental data networking environment and collaborate with a wide range of technical and project stakeholders to achieve positive business outcomes. As a Senior Network Administrator You Will Contribute your expertise to the design, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of a complex state-wide enterprise-grade data network comprising of core data centres, CBD MAN and regional WAN sites to meet the business, operational and innovation needs of the department and its supported agencies. Contribute to the analysis, evaluation, design and implementation of upgrades and enhancements to data networking infrastructure and the associated management, monitoring, alerting and reporting platforms. Liaise with product vendors and other third-parties to identify and resolve complex data networking issues. Monitor the security compliance of the data networking environment and participate in security risk and vulnerability assessments and report on and remediate data networking issues within the environment, identified against Queensland Government Information Standards and industry best practices. Provide reports on network performance, including analysis of trends and the achievement of targets specified within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and maintain required documentation including design documents, standards, processes and procedures. Expertise in: Ancillary services such as packet capture and analysis. Content Switching and Load Balancing. Device authentication platforms e.g., Cisco ISE. Firewalls. Routing and switching. Wireless. Proven experience in: Azure networking and IAC. Network requirements for IP Telephony and video conferencing e.g., QOS. Remote access technologies such as Microsoft Remote App and AOVPN. Any relevant industry-recognised certifications will be highly regarded but are not mandatory.
