This is a Senior Practice Officer role with Queensland Government based in Brisbane, QLD, AU Queensland Government Role Seniority - senior More about the Senior Practice Officer role at Queensland Government The role of Senior Practice Officer provides operational and practice expertise in support of the Intensive Case Management (ICM) Statewide team functions of Youth Justice Regional Operations. The Intensive Case Management (ICM) Program is an evidence-based, integrated case management framework developed to reduce chronic offending behaviour. The ICM program supports collaborative practice, integrated and intensive case management with both young people and their families, carers, and/or kinship members. The Intensive Case Management Statewide Team primarily provides central oversight and support to Youth Justice Service Centres who deliver the Intensive Case Management program to young people and families in the youth justice system. As Senior Practice Officer, You Will Specifically Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Prepare and provide advice on current practice, relevant operational policy/procedure implications, legislation and programs and the preparation of a range of written material including reports, executive correspondence, briefing material and information papers. Provide support to colleagues and senior management on a range of topics relevant to the directorate Contribute to project management of directorate initiatives, including researching, planning, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing projects on behalf of the directorate and department, ensuring quality outputs are delivered within agreed timeframes. Liaise and consult with other teams and with various other areas within the Department to identify practice issues and to develop strategic and operational solutions. Represent and negotiate on behalf of the organisation in external and internal discussions and relevant working groups about the development of practice initiatives and major projects that enhance and develop current practices for Youth Justice Service, including the ICM Program. Provide high level expert advice and information to the Manager Intensive Case Management Statewide Team, and Director Regional Operations and other key stakeholders pertaining to complex Youth Justice Service delivery issues and trends and presenting information for service delivery consideration. Work within a team environment, and if necessary, as a project team leader, to coordinate the activities of team members and contribute to the promotion of an accountable and equitable work environment as delegated by the Manager.
