As The Senior Investigator, You Will Lead And Conduct Complex Environmental Investigations Involving Serious Or High Level Offences Under Legislation. This Includes Leading investigations using specialist technical, scientific and expert evidence. Conducting interviews, taking witness statements and formal records of interview. Executing search warrants and exercising statutory and regulatory powers. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver high quality outcomes under pressure. Conducting site inspections, execute search warrants and manage evidence in accordance with legislative and evidentiary requirements. Preparing high quality briefs of evidence where litigation is a likely outcome. Effectively using the electronic case management system to manage investigations and evidence. Working closely with legal officers to support litigation and court related outcomes. Applying risk and project management principles to deliver investigations efficiently within prescribed timeframes. Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to team members. Summoning, preparing and supporting witnesses for court proceedings. Plan and prioritise investigative activities, including task allocation, timeframe management, travel efficiency, data capture and evidence management. Lead by example in safe work practices and the lawful, safe conduct of investigative operations.
