About the Position: The Painter role at NSW PBX Group Pty Ltd is essential to delivering superior finishes on our commercial and residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality paint and coatings to achieve durable, aesthetically pleasing results that meet client expectations and contribute directly to the overall success and reputation of our building projects in the Canberra area. Key Responsibilities: Inspect and prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks/holes, and removing old paint, wallpaper, or coatings. Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, paints, varnishes, stains, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix and match paints accurately to achieve required colours and finishes, including low sheen, matte, satin, and gloss. Ensure smooth, even, and professional application with attention to detail and high standards of workmanship. Maintain a safe and clean work environment in line with workplace health and safety requirements. Collaborate with project teams to meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes on commercial and residential sites. Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Certificate III in Painting (or equivalent recognised qualification). At least 3 years of relevant hands-on experience as a qualified painter. Strong technical skills in surface preparation, paint application, colour matching, and use of painting tools/equipment. Good physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when required. Reliable, detail-oriented, with excellent time management and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
