The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including more than 4kms of twin three lane tunnels, road and bridge construction and complex M&E installations. The Role: We are seeking an experienced Methods Engineer to join our engineering division. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in tunnelling or large-scale construction projects. This role involves developing construction methods that are practical, effective, efficient, and economical, to meet client and company requirements based on available information (e.g., site conditions), design, legal requirements, specifications, standards, and codes. Roles and responsibilities: Contribute to technical studies to assess and compare construction solutions for the project’s structures Define and document the execution methods for all construction activities Conduct studies related to site setup, temporary works, and lifting equipment requirements Determine the plant, equipment, and resource needs for the planned works Oversee the monitoring and inspection of manufacturers providing specialised plant and equipment — including consultation, ordering, review of calculation notes and fabrication drawings, factory acceptance, trial assemblies, and packaging Lead and support Methods Technicians, Engineers, and Drafters, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and effective coordination across the team About You: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mining, Geotechnical, or equivalent) At least 5 years of experience in tunnel construction or major civil infrastructure projects Strong understanding of construction methodologies and their application to complex projects Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering or design software Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on practical, effective solutions Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams We Offer: Your success is our success, and as an Alliance, we are committed to being an employer of choice in Adelaide.
