We are currently seeking an experienced Painter to join our Emerald team. To be considered, applicants must have minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Painter (residential or commercial). You will also need to demonstrate : Experience with a variety of painting techniques and materials Familiarity with surface preparation and finishing processes Ability to interpret job specifications and plans Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina Knowledge of paint types, coatings, and application methods Ability to work independently and as part of a team Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines Understanding of WHS standards and safe work practices White Card (Construction Induction Card) (advantage) Working at Heights certification (desirable) Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence (advantage) Valid driver's licence (preferred) Key Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to : Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and abrasive blasting Mix and match paints to required colours and finishes Apply paint, varnish, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets and masking Erect and dismantle ladders and scaffolding safely Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met Follow workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition Communicate with clients, supervisors, and team members We are a well respected business in the area, and in joining us you will benefit from : A variety of work in this long term, permanent position Potential for growth in the company Competitive remuneration package between $76,515 - $80,000 Once residing in Emerald, you'll enjoy country living out of the city hustle - and just a 5 minute drive to work!
