Your new role The purpose of the position is to lead Sacred Heart Mission’s trusts, foundations and institutional giving strategy in order to grow sustainable revenue aligned to organisational goals. The role contributes to fundraising planning and budgeting, monitors progress against income targets and works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to align funding applications with program needs and organisational priorities Click here to download a copy of the position description. Your day-to-day As an experienced Trusts and Foundations Lead: Develop and implement the Trusts & Foundations strategy and annual work program aligned to SHM’s organisational goals and the approved fundraising budget. Lead research to identify high-value, values-aligned trusts and foundations. Manage a portfolio of current and prospective funders. Prepare and manage the Trusts & Foundations budget, delivering as agreed; deliver monthly performance reporting (income, pipeline, forecast vs. target, ROI). Maintain accurate and timely records in Raiser’s Edge and supporting tools (including GEMS portal calendar and other grant tracking systems). Proactively engaging with your client services colleagues to learn about the programs and services which require funding. Reporting on current funding where necessary. Your work will require you to exercise of initiative and judgement, the management of a portfolio of funders and grant activity, and the maintenance of effective systems and processes to support the achievement of fundraising outcomes. We're looking for someone With sound discipline knowledge in trusts, foundations and institutional fundraising. Who can demonstrate strategic portfolio management skills, including pipeline development, forecasting, prioritisation and delivery against income targets. Who has the ability to plan, coordinate and administer moderately complex projects, including grant programs. Who is values aligned, flexible and independent. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can understand and program models and sector language and translate into something meaningful and inspiring.
