LO-GO Appointments - a niche Local Government Recruitment Agency, is currently assisting our Central QLD based Council client with the recruitment of a Manager Customer Service & Communications for a temporary assignment. Reporting to the Director Corporate Services, this role provides leadership across customer service, communications and business improvement functions, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery across all customer contact channels. Key responsibilities: Lead and manage customer service, communications and business improvement functions. Oversee frontline service delivery across in-person, phone and digital channels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Develop and implement policies, procedures and operational plans. Prepare high-level reports and provide strategic advice to leadership. Lead, mentor and develop multi-disciplinary teams. What you need: Proven experience in a senior Local Government role leading customer service and/or business improvement functions (essential). Unrestricted working rights in Australia . Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams within a complex, multi-disciplinary environment. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Demonstrated ability to analyse data and drive service improvement outcomes. Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
