Title: UX/UI Quality Assurance Engineer (Front-End / Design QA) Location: Liverpool WFH Contract: 6 months (33 months) About the Role: This unique organisation is seeking a UX/UI Quality Assurance Engineer to play a critical role in delivering a high-profile digital experience for a major infrastructure program. This role sits at the intersection of design and engineering, ensuring that design intent is accurately translated into accessible, responsive, and high-quality web experiences for this organisation's webiste. You won’t just be testing functionality—you’ll be owning the quality of the user experience end-to-end. Key Responsibilities: Validate pixel-accurate UI delivery against Figma designs (layout, spacing, typography, component states) Execute cross-browser and responsive testing across devices and breakpoints Develop structured UX/UI test plans aligned to design components and acceptance criteria Identify and report defects with clear reproduction steps, annotated screenshots, and expected vs actual outcomes Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA accessibility standards Test interactive behaviours (forms, navigation, modals, keyboard flows, animations) Partner closely with designers and engineers to resolve UI/UX issues without compromising intent Provide quality sign-off on design fidelity and responsiveness ahead of release Key Skills: 4–6 years’ experience in UX/UI testing or front-end QA Strong experience with Figma (components, auto layout, Dev Mode, design systems) Solid understanding of HTML/CSS and responsive web behaviour Proven experience in cross-browser and device testing Hands-on knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA, keyboard navigation, screen readers) Strong QA fundamentals: test planning, traceability, defect management Experience working in Agile delivery environments Excellent communication skills and ability to bridge design and engineering teams Nice to Have: Experience with visual regression tools or Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar test management tools Experience working on design-system-driven products If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional digital experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
