About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planner/scheduler to join the team at our Pigment Plant in Australind, located on Old Coast Road in the idyllic South West of WA. This position will be offered on a full time, permanent basis, working a 38-hour week compressed into a 9-day fortnight, every second Friday off! Hang up the FIFO boots and enjoy every weekend off and be home every night! Work hours are 6:00am- 3:00pm. The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is accountable for planning and scheduling of maintenance activities in coordination with the production scheduler, to service and repair fixed plant equipment Responsibilities include: Developing and scheduling detailed job plans, estimating labour resources, materials & costings Analyses execution vs job plan. Reporting on actuals vs estimates Development of shutdown work packs, work instructions and schedules Effectively managing the workorder back log with stakeholders Planning activities within SAP and updating SAP master data including; creating work orders, purchase requisitions, receipting goods inward, setting up and adjusting bills of materials (BOM) Liaising with contractors to obtain quotes for labour and equipment hire Assists with organising spares and planning for planned maintenance days and major outages Collects the post execution feedback for review and improvement Monitors and reports overdue maintenance and inspection work Works closely with Supervisors and Technicians on maintenance strategy improvement activities, standard maintenance tasks and procedure updates Reviewing, maintaining, and complying to critical and statutory inspections. Collates and reports on Operational Excellence (OE) maintenance metrics on a weekly basis. Manages shutdown readiness timeline for shutdown execution. Schedule weekly and shutdown maintenance activities. Cost and work execution forecasting. About You: Previous maintenance planning experience in a similar fixed plant environment. A formally recognised Mechanical trade qualification – preferred but not essential Initiative and an ability to work autonomously Ability to manage, coordinate, set objectives, timetables and priorities High level of working knowledge of SAP Ability to prioritise and work under pressure in a changing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to liaise effectively with all Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and industry standards Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines A clear commitment to Tronox Values and safety-first culture Experience with MS Project for shutdown scheduling Prometheus scheduler experience desirable Why join TRONOX?
