We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Conference and Events Operations team as a Conference and Events Logistics Team Leader. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Conference and Events team and Purchasing to coordinate and deliver seamless logistics support. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely setup, bump-in, and bump-out of all events across the hotel, contributing to exceptional guest experiences. What you'll be doing: Work with the Meeting and Events team and the Conference and Events Operations team to ensure a safe and efficient event set-up Assist with risk assessments and oversee logistics operations to ensure all high-risk activities, employees and contractors are compliant with Work Health and Safety requirements Liaise with Purchasing to coordinate all inbound and outbound freight and deliveries for events In conjunction with Purchasing, coordinate all inbound and outbound freight and deliveries for events Plan ahead and inform your supervisor of upcoming logistics needs requiring additional labour to support efficient rostering and meet client requirements Liaise with departments and contractors (Engineering, AV) to ensure maintenance and upkeep of function spaces Maintain stock inventory and ensure all equipment is stored securely Perform regular inspections of function spaces, particularly before and after bump-ins and report any damages or safety issues immediately to the supervisor Manage access to the scissor lift, in conjunction with the Purchasing and Engineering departments.
