Our client in Southwest Sydney is a leading worldwide logistics organisation seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team. Overview of the role: Identify potential suppliers and manage the procurement process from start to finish, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting. Manage vendor contracts to ensure that terms and conditions are met and that the company receives the best value for money. Ensure that the company has adequate inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory. Implement cost-saving strategies to minimize procurement expenses while maintaining the highest level of quality and service. Maintain a positive relationship with suppliers to ensure that the company receives the best possible service. You will be required to work 5 days a week on site. About you: Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Experience in a similar role Logistics Industry Experience Sound analytical and strategic mindset.
