Our client, Apex Engineering Technology Group, is seeking hands-on Welders to join their operations. The successful candidates will work on heavy industrial projects, including the operation of a new robotic welding cell featuring a high-powered Hyperfil welder and a Fanuc robot. While training and upskilling in robotic welding operation will be provided, strong foundational skills in heavy industrial welding are essential. Key Responsibilities: Perform heavy-duty MIG welding on large industrial components. Handle and position heavy items, including crane operation where required. Operate grinding, peening, and basic hand tools. Weld heavy plate (40mm) and components such as excavator buckets and mining equipment. Assist with robotic welding operations, applying skills after training where applicable. Key Skills & Experience: Strong experience in heavy-duty MIG welding. Experience handling heavy items and operating cranes. Prior robotic welding experience is highly advantageous. Competence with grinding, peening, and other basic hand tools.
