Key Responsibilities As a Pastry Cook, you will: Prepare and shape doughs, pastries, and baked goods, ensuring consistent texture, quality, and presentation. Measure and combine ingredients, including pastry fillings, while checking the quality and freshness of raw materials. Manage the baking process, monitoring oven temperatures and finished product appearance to achieve optimal results. Coordinate production workflows, including forming, baking, cooling, and decorating bread, buns, and cakes. Apply finishing touches, such as glazing, icing, or decorative cream, to pastries and specialty bakery items. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of baking equipment, trays, and workstations to meet health and safety standards. Operate bakery machinery for rolling, cutting, and shaping dough and other baked products. Requirements Previous experience as a pastry cook or in a commercial bakery setting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and presentation. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and follow food safety regulations.
