Job Description What Aurora Dairies can offer you Aurora Dairies are currently seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for a dairy farm in Scottdale. This farm is Ideally located, 15 minutes from Scottdale, 30 minutes from Bridport and 1 hour from Launceston. The farm is approximately 450Ha effective area with 287Ha under pivot irrigation currently milking 1,250 cows, through a 60-bail rotary shed with ACR’s, auto teat spray and auto drafting. This farm is 100% Spring calving beginning in mid- August. Accommodation is available and there could be opportunities for employment for your partner, if required. Driving and upholding Animal Health and Safe Operating Procedures. Herd management and nutrition, including calving, hospital herd care, AI/mating planning, dairy shed work and more. Irrigation and pasture management. Supervising staff. Machinery operation. Repairs and maintenance.
