We’re seeking a Rural GP VMO to join our well-established medical centre and provide VMO services to Scottsdale Hospital , which is just next door. What’s on offer Dual income streams — combine GP billings and VMO on-call GP VMOs typically earn $500K depending on sessions and VMO shifts $2000 site visit grants through the People Project, for eligible applicants DPA & MMM5 location — access to: 30% moratorium reduction (10 years down to 7) GRIP payments – up to $23K/year ACRRM IP, RACGP FSP, RVTS, AGPT pathways eligible Car, accommodation, fuel & utilities covered for VMO work Opportunities for supervision Supportive CDM program led by experienced nurses Fully flexible hours — no mandated shifts or days Strong internal support: PPE, clinical protocols, and Ochre-wide supply networks Practice management and admin support you can rely on About the practice & hospital Purpose-built clinic with 5 consulting rooms, 3-bay treatment room, procedure room, and on-site pathology Operating Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, Sat 9am–11am (can be adjusted to your needs) Scottsdale Hospital : 19 acute care beds Emergency department (ATS CAT 1–5) Outpatient, maternity (low risk), physio, radiology, and visiting specialists Formal VMO contract 365 days/year with the Tasmanian Health Service Life in Scottsdale Surrounded by green rolling hills and just an hour from Launceston, Scottsdale is a regional hub with a relaxed, welcoming feel.
