A Day in the Life Commercial Analyst in EA team (within Commercial Development and Business Performance). We have an exciting role for a talented Commercial Analyst to join our Enterprise Accounts team support in executing Medtronic's Strategic Accounts strategy. This position has been created to work within the Commercial Analytics function of Enterprise Accounts to support the Cardiovascular, Medical Surgical & Neuroscience Portfolios. This position supports Medtronic's commercial programs, by developing best practice automation solutions & reporting tools, creating standardized pricing and modelling templates, assisting in developing and tracking contract KPIs for key Strategic and Corporate accounts, modelling and presenting market share data in order to maximize Medtronic share of wallet and supporting the analysis of available data to provide a greater level of insight on the performance of Enterprise Accounts. In this role you will report into the Senior Commercial Manager and will be based in our Macquarie Park office in Sydney. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Supporting the Senior Commercial Manager and Senior Commercial Analyst of Strategic Accounts to execute the Strategic Accounts commercial strategy by: Using AI tools (e.g. Copilot, Python-based models, Power BI AI visuals) to automate recurring analyses and reporting & to develop reporting solutions for large and complex datasets. Using AI tools to develop rapidly interrogate datasets, generate insights, and support scenario analysis. Act as a bridge between business users and data/AI capabilities, translating commercial questions into analytical solutions. Developing compelling financial modelling and pricing templates to drive ease of financial analysis and provide greater insight into the deal metrics, profitability and viability. Own the design, development and ongoing management of Power BI reporting solutions, including data model design, data refresh and integrity, performance optimization, user access, documentation, and continuous enhancement in response to evolving business needs. Using MS excel, Power BI, SAP and GSR platforms to: Support and continuously improve the reporting and dashboards to allow Strategic Account Managers and Corporate Accounts Managers to access timely and accurate results to measure deal effectiveness. These dashboards also support sales leaders across the organization in monitoring deals and contracts. Set up monthly, quarterly and annual contract performance reporting, including forecasts of business potential for major Strategic Customer contracts. Building the strategy deck for business reviews internal and external customers in collaboration with the Enterprise Accounts team including the Senior Enterprise Accounts Director. Working across various departments and systems, including Finance, Customer Service and Sales Teams on projects and to resolve issues which impact contract and sales performance. Drive continual process improvement, automation and standardization across commercial analytics workflows to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability. Supporting ad hoc reporting requests in a responsive manner. Required Knowledge and Experience: Graduate of a relevant Undergraduate Commerce, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or related field 2-3 years' experience as a commercial analyst Practical experience using AI tools for analysis in a business environment (e.g. Copilot, Python, R, SQL, or equivalent) Tableau, PowerBI and other data analytics program experience. Advance proficiency in MS Office suite of software. Advance Excel skills and intermediate level in PowerPoint are essential Analytical, creative and disciplined - having a demonstrated ability to generate insights from various inputs and see them through from inception to implementation.
