As Senior Director of Core Mobile Engineering, you will lead our mobile and fixed Core network domain, guiding strategy, development, and technical leadership. This will play a key role on focusing on cloud-native platforms and new enterprise and services to keep our network resilient. What You’ll Do Lead the development of the Core Networks domain strategy and multi‑year roadmap, supporting the transition from legacy platforms to cloud‑native architecture. Contribute to Core platform design by defining engineering standards, reference architectures, and configuration practices, and supporting broader network architecture decisions. Support Core modernisation efforts and technical debt reduction, promoting scalable, secure, and automation‑enabled solutions aligned to long‑term objectives. Coordinate platform changes and releases, working closely with Network Operations to ensure readiness and delivery What makes you perfect for the role? Strong knowledge in mobile and fixed Core Networks, covering EPC, 5G Core, IMS, policy, and subscriber data platforms. Strong understanding of cloud-native and virtualized network architectures (e.g., containers, Kubernetes, NFV). Experience leading large-scale Core modernization and platform lifecycle programs. Proven senior leadership experience in large, complex network engineering environments. Ability to operate as a build authority while partnering effectively with Operations. Strong change leadership capability across technology, operating model, and ways of working. Strong commercial competence with experience supporting investment cases and cost optimization.
