Title: Active Chairman - High-Growth Professional Services Platform Location: Sydney Engagement: Part-time / Non-Executive Chair (active) - 1 day per week The opportunity Talenza has been exclusively retained to appoint an Active Chair for a founder-led, multi-brand professional services platform operating across executive search, transformation consulting/delivery, and specialist data/AI and delivery partnerships, which has grown to $120m revenue under 10 years. The group is profitable, has achieved strong growth and industry recognition, and is now entering an integration and scale phase focused on building a single operating system to unlock enterprise value. This is a build and expand role, not a turnaround. The Chair will work closely with the founders and an established executive team to help lift maturity, accelerate execution, and support decisions that compound over the next 12 months. The mandate (what you'll actually do) This is an active, value-creation role, not passive oversight. You will help the business: Shape strategy at a critical inflection point where decisions compound Create alignment across founders, brands and leadership on priorities, decision rights and standards Lock the integrated go-to-market motion across top accounts (cross-sell account plans) Standardise group operating cadence (forecasting, margin management, delivery governance) Improve cash conversion (billing discipline, working capital controls) Define the capital pathway readiness milestones (self-fund vs raise vs strategic partner) What we're looking for We're selectively engaging Chairs aligned to the stage and ambition. Ideal experience includes: CEO/Founder background with proven scale experience in professional services or consulting (typically $50m revenue environments) Scaling multi-brand services platforms through integration, PE-backed or pre-investment growth phases Governance through margin expansion and operating leverage M&A strategy and value-creation frameworks An active Chair style with the time and willingness to lean in and support execution to growth phase Time commitment and alignment Open to discussion on time commitment; ideally c. 1 day per week in the business supporting the ELT.
