Payroll Officer | $90-100k super | Hybrid | Retail Head Office | Inner East area We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join a well-known and growing retail business based in Melbourne's inner suburbs. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative People & Culture / Finance team in a fast-paced organisation offering strong employee benefits, flexible working, and a supportive culture. This role will see you supporting end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand within a small team, working in a high-volume environment with multiple entities. The position suits someone with around 3-5 years payroll experience who enjoys working to deadlines and being part of a close-knit team. The role: Process end-to-end payroll across multiple entities in Australia and New Zealand Manage new starters, terminations, and employee changes Handle payroll queries from staff and internal stakeholders Prepare payroll reports, journals, and reconciliations Maintain employee records and documentation Support compliance with awards, legislation, and payroll policies Assist with system updates and process improvements About you: 3 years experience in a payroll role Experience in retail, hospitality, or high-volume environments preferred Knowledge of awards and classifications (Retail Award highly regarded) Experience with payroll / time & attendance systems (Humanforce, MicrOpay or similar advantageous) Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivots, reporting) Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Confident communicator who enjoys working in a team environment What's on offer: Salary approx. $90k-$100k super Hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day WFH) Inner-city head office location Staff discounts and wellbeing benefits Subsidised / reimbursed parking Learning & development opportunities Friendly, supportive small team environment This is a fantastic opportunity for a payroll professional looking to join a stable business with great culture and long-term career potential.
