Description Seeking an experienced return to work professional with a proven ability to implement effective return to work strategies while building and maintain strong working relationships at all levels. You are confident working with senior stakeholders and have demonstrated ability in providing expert advice on injury management matters including complex cases across a diverse operating environment. This opportunity is a fixed term 12-month contract. Reporting to Team Leader, WHS & injury Management the key responsibilities of this position are to: Ensure the most effective return to work approaches are consistently applied including a dynamic approach to early intervention. Partner with and provide coaching to leaders across the organisation to support injured or ill workers return to their pre-injury role through a planned and timely process. Work collaboratively with leaders on activities relating to a safe return to work, rehabilitation initiatives, reasonable adjustments and injury prevention. Review, develop and implement the organisation’s injury management and return to work framework within a self-insured model and in line with self-insured standards including Job Dictionary development and review. Undertake the administration associated with work related and non-work-related injuries including certificate management, data input and claims coordination. Advise on and assist Leaders with the coordination of return to work from non-work-related injury or illness. Position Description - Advisor, Injury Management About You: Certificate or Diploma level qualifications in Injury Rehabilitation Management or Claims Administration or extensive demonstrated equivalent experience. Return to Work Coordinator Certificate Effective interpretation and application of return-to-work legislation, standards and guidelines as they apply to organisational claims management and rehabilitation initiatives. High level of innovative thinking and a practical and objective approach to problem solving and negotiation. Strong planning and prioritising skills and meeting competing deadlines. Strong skills in influencing, coaching and mentoring.
