The Verandah is a busy food & beverage outlet located in Alivio Tourist Park - a property with 160 rooms & villas in Canberra ACT. No two days at The Verandah are the same and with a menu that is constantly evolving, our venue is the perfect place for those looking to further their career and develop their skills. We currently have full time positions available for Chefs. Duties may include - preparation for breakfast buffet, in house travel groups, functions, events, 250 seat dinning bistro area and busy pizza bar. Role will also require knowledge and experience in planning menus, ordering food supplies, demonstrating cooking techniques and procedures, how to safely maintain hygiene regulations including preserving food items, monitoring quality of dishes at all stages including presentation and discussing food preparation, dietary requirements. We are looking for motivated, experienced Chef with a good attitude and who is willing to work in a diverse working environment. Additional training and development and job progression is available for further advancement in your career. Shifts will consist of both mornings and evening shifts. A food handlers certificate and relevant experience in a similar role are essential. We look forward to hearing from you!
