This is a proper technical Senior Financial Accountant role inside a growing beverage business that’s become a familiar face in fridges, bars, and bottle shops. It’s not a commercial business partnering gig, and it’s not a “make pretty dashboards” job. It’s the role that keeps the numbers honest, the balance sheet healthy, and cash flow tight; all the backbone stuff. Role Profile: This business has momentum, and growth brings complexity (in a good way). More moving parts, more transactions, more inventory, more stakeholders, and more scrutiny on financial integrity. The finance team is investing in the engine room so the business can scale without wobbling. If you like being the person people trust when the question is “are we actually right here?”, you’ll feel at home. You’ll own financial accounting and bring confidence to the close and reporting process. Think: Month-end close with a heavy emphasis on accuracy, controls, and clean reconciliations Balance sheet ownership: provisions, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, the whole lot Technical accounting: interpreting and applying AASB standards (yes, you’ll be the “Hey, what does this actually mean…” person) Statutory reporting support, audit liaison, and keeping the evidence trail tidy Cash flow focus: making sure the working capital story stacks up (not just on paper) Process improvement: practical tightening of controls, templates, reconciliations, and close rhythm Supporting regional / cross-border considerations (with external tax support where needed) Successful Candidate Profile We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys the detail. Not because you’re pedantic, but because you take pride in getting it right. Ideally you’ll bring: CA qualification Big 4 (or mid-tier) foundation before moving into commerce. This will be a strong second move with a pathway to FM/FC within the business A definite technical leaning. Can’t stress this enough. You like standards, policy, judgments, and technical troubleshooting. Experience in a product-based / operationally complex business, ideally with a genuinely inventory-heavy balance sheet (FMCG, beverage, retail, distribution) Comfort picking up regional/cross-border concepts quickly (foreign tax positions, intercompany, etc.) even if you’re not the tax specialist A calm, methodical style.
