Our Queensland Goverment Council client is seeking an Administration Officer (Level 3) to provide high-level administrative and customer-focused support to Councillors. You'll play a key role supporting elected representatives in delivering council business and responding to community and stakeholder needs. $41.95 - $45.19 p.h Super 4 week assignment with possibility of extension Full time hours (Mon-Fri) Maroochydore, QLD 4558 This role involves: Providing a wide range of administrative support to Councillors to assist with their official duties Preparing routine correspondence and sourcing information to respond to community enquiries Planning and attending meetings, forums, and events, including recording and following up on outcomes Coordinating travel, conferences, and Councillor-related events in line with Council policies Supporting community engagement activities and assisting with social media monitoring and responses Liaising with government agencies, MPs, business representatives, and community members Monitoring Councillor budgets and processing reimbursement claims Supporting basic IT and telecommunications issue resolution Identifying politically sensitive matters and escalating appropriately The ideal candidate will have: Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to interpret and follow policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems/databases Flexibility to work across multiple Council locations if required (must have a current "C" Class Driver's Licence) Certificate III in Business Administration (or similair) highly regarded but not required Understanding of Local Government processes and stakeholder engagement highly regarded Experience with social media management highly regarded If this sounds like you and you're interested in the role, please apply now - I look forward to hearing from you!
