Your New Role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations Change, the Senior Associate, Operations Optimisation plays a critical role in leading and managing the end‑to‑end delivery of operational change and optimisation initiatives across the member service model and operational work chains. This role blends project management discipline, delivery coordination, business analysis and change management, partnering closely with cross‑functional teams and vendors to translate requirements into executable plans, manage delivery milestones, and ensure initiatives are implemented safely and embedded into BAU operations. The Senior Associate directly supports our Member Operations team by adapting operational processes to enable efficiency gains, risk reduction, product and service model changes, industry developments and regulatory obligations. Success in this role will require a strong understanding of the service model, combined with the ability to plan, govern and deliver initiatives in complex, regulated operational environments to achieve the best outcomes for members. In this role, you’ll: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of operational initiatives using structured project management approaches, including discovery, scoping, planning, execution, implementation and benefits realisation. Develop and maintain delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, RAID logs and governance artefacts, ensuring clarity of scope, accountability and timelines. Coordinate delivery across Member Operations, Technology, Risk, Member Domain, Legal and external vendors, managing interdependencies and sequencing to protect BAU outcomes. Lead end‑to‑end reviews of operational work chains, identifying inefficiencies, delivery risks and control gaps, and translating findings into prioritised initiatives and delivery plans. Facilitate requirements gathering, impact assessment and design workshops, ensuring business needs are clearly defined and understood prior to delivery. Support the evolution of the service model by defining and implementing improved ways of working, hand‑offs and operating rhythms between teams. Drive integration and cutover planning when onboarding new functions, systems or services, ensuring operational readiness and smooth transition into BAU. Provide clear, concise and regular project status reporting, including progress against milestones, impacts, risks, issues and constraints. Contribute qualitative and quantitative analysis to prioritisation and sequencing decisions, balancing delivery capacity, regulatory timelines and member impact. Apply robust change and implementation management practices, ensuring stakeholder readiness, adoption, training and documentation of new processes and controls. Embed strong risk and control thinking within all initiatives, ensuring processes, policies and systems meet compliance and governance expectations and promoting a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement. What You’ll Need Proven experience in project management, delivery management, business optimisation or operational change roles. Demonstrated experience planning and delivering initiatives end‑to‑end in complex operational or regulated environments. Strong understanding of project delivery fundamentals, including scope management, scheduling, dependency management, risk and issue management and benefits tracking. Solid business analysis capability, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, impact analysis and solution design. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience using tools such as Excel, Power BI, JIRA, Confluence and process mapping software (e.g. Visio). Experience applying structured methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Prosci, ADKAR, Prince2 or Agile/Hybrid delivery approaches (certification desirable). Experience within financial services, superannuation, member‑based or highly regulated industries is highly regarded. Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior and cross‑functional audiences. Ability to work autonomously while coordinating delivery across multiple teams in fast‑paced operational environments. Working knowledge of systems used in Member Operations (e.g. CRM, KMS Lighthouse, Nintex) is desirable.
