About the Role CareSouth is looking for a fixed-term (12 month parental leave cover), part-time (30.4 hours per week) Caseworker to join our team in Wagga Wagga. As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanency support, restoration and adoption. What you need to be successful in your role: Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability. Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences / Social Welfare or equivalent or working towards Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families. Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills. Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and the NSW Child Protection system. Current driver’s licence.
