An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Associate or a Senior Associate to join our market-leading Corrs Corporate/M&A Team in Sydney. The role would involve working directly with corporate partners Sandy Mak, Adam Foreman, Shabarika Ajitkumar and Tim Gordon and their team. This is an ideal role for a lawyer with 4 PQE experience in a leading corporate practice with a national or international firm who is looking to act for top tier corporate and financial sponsor clients in a collaborative and diverse team. The role represents a unique opportunity to work on some of the most significant, complex and interesting transactions in the Australian market. You would work with this team across a broad range of transactions including public company M&A, private capital transactions and equity raisings. You would also help advise clients and boards on governance and securities laws and regulatory matters involving FIRB, ASX, ASIC and the Takeovers Panel. Deals that the team are currently or have recently worked on include CoStar’s proposed takeover of Domain, DAZN’s acquisition of Foxtel, L1 Capital’s proposed merger with Platinum Asset Management, Dollarama Inc’s takeover of The Reject Shop, and Macquarie Asset Management’s acquisition of Linen Services Australia. This exciting and dynamic team environment requires you to be commercially minded, have the potential/capability to lead a deal, with a high attention to detail, strong drafting and negotiating skills and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a high performing environment.
