Mechanical Fitters – Immediate Start | Brisbane (Tingalpa based) ALH Recruitment is currently seeking Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitters to join our expanding team for immediate starts with our client, a well-established family-operated engineering firm delivering end-to-end solutions across the water infrastructure, road/rail, government, energy and defence sectors. Looking for hands-on, technical work where your mechanical expertise and attention to detail make a real impact? In this role, you’ll be involved in workshop and on-site installation, maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure within industrial and water treatment environments. Workshop is based in Tingalpa, sites range from Southern Brisbane up to Caboolture. These are on-going opportunities, Monday to Friday with regular overtime and optional Saturdays, ideal for motivated tradespeople seeking ongoing work and long-term career growth. What you’ll do: Install, assemble and maintain mechanical equipment and piping systems Fit, align and repair pumps, valves, pipework, motors, gearboxes and rotating equipment Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings and specifications Fabricate and modify components using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery Work with stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel and heavy structural materials Perform site installation and maintenance work What you’ll have: Trade Qualification – Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent Proven experience in mechanical fitting within industrial or infrastructure environments Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings Site installation and maintenance experience (highly regarded) Manual Driver’s Licence EWP, Confined Spaces or Forklift tickets (desirable but not essential) Current or willingness to obtain HEP A, HEP B & Tetanus vaccinations (site requirement) Strong work ethic and reliability Valid Australian work rights Why you’ll love it here: Competitive hourly rates - $55-$60p/hr penalties Regular overtime (10-hour days Saturdays where required) Workshop and/or site-based work Weekly pay Ongoing, consistent work with casual-to-permanent potential Supportive team environment with long-term career progression Up-skilling opportunities Work with industry leaders Ready to take the next step in your mechanical fitting career?
