Junior Accountant wanted to supply administrative support to the Financial Controller Your new company A Rockhamptonbased engineering and manufacturing operation specialises in the design, manufacturing, repair, and refurbishment of coal mining machinery and equipment. The business has been active since 2006, providing services such as machine rebuilds, parts and component supply, gearcase manufacturing, and major equipment refurbishments to support the mining industry. It delivers highquality engineering solutions tailored to underground mining requirements, ensuring reliable maintenance, refurbishment capability, and technical support for mining operations throughout the region. Your new role Supply administrative support to the Financial Controller by: Timely customer invoicing (within 24 hours of notification). Maintain uptodate customer ageing. Maintain uptodate supplier ageing. Accounts Receiveable & Accounts Payable Payroll Support Complete monthend processing within 4 working days after the final day of the month (e.g., if month ends 31 September 2025, monthend finalised by 4 October, excluding weekends/public holidays). Ensure an uptodate monthend procedure is in place and followed. Complete credit card and statement reconciliations as part of monthend. Complete monthly JobSys reconciliations as part of monthend. Assist with stock control and stocktakes. Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as required. Support all departments with the generation of purchase orders. Ensure GRN and stock administration is kept up to date. Process invoices accurately and promptly. Process remittances in line with required timeframes. What you'll need to succeed Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting; Some experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable; Eagerness to learn new things; Proven experience in a similar environment would be beneficial; High level computer skills are essential; Strong organisational and analytical skills; Self-driven and proactive in nature; High attention to detail and excellent written communication skills; Good interpersonal skills and communicate effectively over the phone; Ability to build relationships across all areas of the business; What you'll get in return You will be joining a very supportive and welcoming team who are committed to helping you succeed in your role.
