The Role: Reporting into the Supervisor you will be required to operate an Elevated Work Platform (EWP), a Jarraff, Tractors and Hedgers to cut, trim and remove trees around powerlines. Working across, but not limited to Portland, Hamilton, and Warrnambool. Typically, you will need to travel up to an hour to reach work sites with opportunities to live away from home. These roles have job security and give an opportunity to work outdoors in a small team with good work ethic, using well-maintained equipment and state of the art technology. What is the role? The key responsibility of this role is to operate Jarraff safely and effectively, as well as ensuring the safe trimming, dismantling and removal of trees. You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as: maintenance checks implementing drop zones and exclusion zones operating the Jarraff safety observing, chainsaw operation conducting risk assessments Why choose Active? $35-45 per hour subject to experience superannuation Fortnightly RDO Daily Travel Allowances & Overtime available Opportunities for paid living away work on select projects (LAHA) Working days are Monday to Friday, 8.5-hour shifts from 7.00am – 4.00pm All PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and uniforms provided tools Ongoing training and development opportunities (Elevated Work Platform Licence, Chainsaw ticket, Chipper ticket, Traffic control and First aid) Do you have? A current drivers’ licence Jarraff Specialised Machine licence (UETDRVC011) MR/HR Truck Licence (desirable) The ability to work safely The flexibility to Live Away from Home Chainsaw operation qualification (Certificate Level 1 & 2) preferred Industry experience and/or qualifications (Cert II ESI Powerline Vegetation Control or Cert III Horticulture/Arboriculture are highly advantageous) Great, but not essential: First Aid/CPR White Card Who are Active?
