AO3 Customer Service Officer – Government Contact Centre Brisbane CBD 3-month contract with possible extension | Immediate recruitment ⏰ Monday to Friday rotating roster Multiple positions available Hudson is partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit Customer Service Officers (AO3) for a short-term contact centre assignment, commencing Wednesday, 25 February 2026 , with the possibility of extension. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong customer service or call centre experience who are confident working in structured, high-volume environments and delivering accurate, professional support to the community. About the role Reporting to a Team Leader, you will provide frontline customer service support across a busy government contact centre. Key responsibilities include: Handling inbound customer enquiries in a high-volume environment Providing accurate information relating to legislation, services, policies and procedures Assisting with applications, renewals, compliance and general enquiries Maintaining detailed and accurate case notes Managing emails, call backs and other offline administrative tasks Using multiple systems and contact centre technologies Demonstrating resilience and professionalism when dealing with complex or challenging enquiries Roster & location Monday to Friday rotating roster between 8:15am – 5:00pm Staff rostered to finish at 5:00pm must remain available until queues are cleared Based in Brisbane CBD (Ann Street) Due to the short-term nature of the contract, this role will be office-based About you You will bring: Previous experience in a contact centre or customer service environment Desirable: Financial background Desirable: Understanding of construction legislation Strong communication and active listening skills High attention to detail with accurate data entry ability Confidence navigating multiple systems Ability to interpret information and follow policy and procedures A professional, calm and customer-focused approach Mandatory requirements Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential (Candidates on temporary visas cannot be considered) Successful candidates must undergo a criminal history check Two (2) JP-certified identification documents will be required Employment documentation must be completed within 24–48 hours if successful How to apply If you are immediately available and interested in a government contact centre opportunity, apply now!
