The Opportunity This is a relationship-driven role offering the chance to work closely with SME and not-for-profit organisations as they navigate technology change. Success is built on understanding each organisation’s operations and identifying improvements across cloud, infrastructure, security, and modern workplace environments. Rather than transactional sales, you’ll translate technical ideas into practical solutions for business leaders, working closely with engineers and delivery teams. Many clients have long-standing relationships with the organisation, so building trust and growing accounts over time is central to this role. The Role As a Technology Solutions Consultant, you will: Build trusted relationships with SME and NFP clients Run discovery discussions to understand current environments and future plans Translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused language Work with current and future clients to shape practical technology solutions for the region Identify opportunities to expand services across existing clients Develop relationships with new organisations in the Canberra market Support proposals and solution discussions across Microsoft environments Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring retention and profitability of assigned clients Achieve KPIs with ownership, accountability, and clear communication from start to finish The Ideal Person The successful candidate will have: Experience in technology consulting, solutions sales, or account management Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, and modern workplace environments Ability to communicate complex technical ideas in a clear and practical way Experience in Business Development Relationship-focused approach to client engagement, with confidence working alongside engineers and delivery teams Experience in SME or mid-market organisations is advantageous Previous experience in customer service roles, particularly within technology-related environments or Managed Services Providers Strong presentation skills, including use of Microsoft Office, ConnectWise Manage, BrightGauge, and/or Power BI Salary / Rate Salary will be discussed as part of the recruitment process and will be negotiable based on the candidate’s experience reflective of current market conditions.
