About the Position: The Educator role at Blessed By Bubs Early Learning Centre – Belmore is a full-time position responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs that support each child’s individual development and school readiness. Working within our Reggio Emilia-inspired setting, the Educator will lead intentional teaching practices, mentor colleagues, and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during all routines and play experiences. This important role plays a central part in fostering confident, capable learners while building strong partnerships with families and contributing to the centre’s reputation as the preferred choice in the local community. Key Responsibilities: Lead reflective discussions about practice and implementing the learning framework. Mentor other educators by leading quality practice. Discuss routines and how to make them more effective learning experiences. Observe children and educator interactions, making suggestions to improve interactions and intentional teaching. Develop, plan, and implement quality educational programs. Assist in basic care routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest time supervision. Ensure children’s safety during indoor and outdoor play. Be innovative and motivated to lead a centre to become the centre of choice for families within the local community. Monitor and document children’s progress, maintain individual portfolios, and keep accurate records of attendance, health, and developmental milestones. Develop open communication channels with staff, children, and families of the centre. Contribute to the effective operation of the workplace by supporting colleagues, sharing ideas, and working as a team player. Comply with the centre’s policies, procedures, licensing, legislation, and regulations. Assist children with their daily routines and support their learning. Requirements: Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Required qualifications: AQF Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent). Required experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an early childhood education setting. Required technical and interpersonal skills: Comprehensive knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Reggio Emilia principles; strong observational, documentation and program-planning skills; excellent verbal and written communication; proven ability to mentor, collaborate as a team player and build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues; commitment to child safety and regulatory compliance.
