MARS Recruitment is teaming up with a financial services firm to recruit a Corporate Accountant to support a growing finance function. Our client provides tailored funding solutions with a head office in the Sydney CBD and operations across Australia. Reporting to an experienced CFO and working closely with executive leaders, this role is end-to-end and suits a proactive accountant who wants broad exposure across financial, management and investment reporting in a complex, change-oriented environment. The Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, statutory financial statements, and consolidated reporting packs. Oversee accounts payable, invoicing, and core general ledger functions including journals, reconciliations, and month-end close. Manage BAS/GST lodgements and support broader tax compliance and return preparation. Coordinate AFSL obligations and Registered Financial Corporation (APRA) reporting requirements. Maintain accurate financial records and perform net asset value (NAV) calculations. Prepare securitisation trust reporting and liaise with trustees and calculation agents to ensure accurate and timely outputs. Support system selection, enhancement and implementation projects to improve processes and controls. Assist with business planning activities, including financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting. The Requirements: CA/CPA qualified. 6 years' corporate accounting experience in financial services. Strong statutory and tax reporting experience (financial statements, consolidations, BAS/GST, income tax). Good working knowledge of IFRS in relevant areas. Comfortable partnering across credit, legal and origination; clear written and verbal communication. Hands-on, improvement mindset with willingness to dive into systems and processes.
