About You : Graduate of Bachelor of Speech Pathology (accredited course). Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status. Aboriginal cultural awareness training (current or equivalent). Position Summary : The Speech Pathologist will be responsible for delivering efficient, evidence-based clinical services to a caseload of participants funded through the NDIS, Medicare, private payment, and public or private organisations. The role is community-based and can be performed at various locations including our clinic, schools, preschools, care facilities, homes, and through online platforms. The Speech Pathologist will work within the Creative Therapy Adelaide team and will be required to work autonomously, with other team members and at a self-directed pace in order to achieve clinical targets. The speech pathologist will be passionate and driven to participate in program delivery at Creative Therapy Adelaide, that fosters the integration of Speech Therapy and Music Therapy to deliver innovative programs. Key Requirements : Essential Criteria – Speech Pathologist (Level 2) Demonstrated passion for Creative Therapy Adelaide’s mission and evidence-based therapeutic practice. Ability to assess participant needs and plan, implement, and review speech pathology interventions. Willingness to work effectively both autonomously and collaboratively with allied health professionals in a team environment. Capacity to build positive, professional relationships with participants, families, and colleagues in a variety of settings. Advanced knowledge of speech pathology theories, relevant clinical practice, and awareness of NDIS and sector requirements. Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills. Reliability, punctuality, eagerness to learn, and commitment to meeting role expectations. Willingness to seek feedback, solve problems creatively, and engage in reflective practice for ongoing professional growth. Good digital literacy, with the ability to use practice management software. Job Responsibility : The Speech Pathologist is required to ensure the services they deliver to participants are in accordance with the Creative Therapy Adelaide values, policies and procedures and mission statements. Furthermore; Professional Service Delivery Provide evidence-based, person-centred speech and language therapy, including assessment, goal setting, therapy planning, and direct intervention. Deliver services in diverse settings: clinic, home, school, and community, as appropriate to participant needs. Conduct sessions face-to-face or via videotherapy, as required. Monitor and review participant progress, adjusting therapy plans under supervision as needed. Build positive working relationships with participants’ families, carers, and support networks, showing respect for cultural diversity and individual strengths. Maintain all clinical documentation accurately, clearly, and confidentially within company systems. Manage and prioritise your own caseload, seeking support when required. Teamwork and Communication Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, seeking guidance as required from senior speech pathologists and collaborating with allied health colleagues. Contribute to and participate in regular peer supervision and team meetings. Refer participants to appropriate services or supports as required. Participate in discussion about program development, evaluation, and feedback as part of the team. Professional Development Undertake all professional development and training required to maintain eligibility for Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) status and comply with Speech Pathology Australia and employer policies. Participate in staff training and learning activities provided by Creative Therapy Adelaide. Actively engage in reflective practice and regular performance appraisals. Learn from and contribute to the knowledge of the team by sharing resources and supporting best practice. Assist with research, community education, or quality improvement projects as directed. Actively participate in peer supervision and mentoring of graduate clinicians, and support high‑quality student placements in collaboration with senior clinicians.
