Job details WorkPac has opportunities for experienced Boilermakers & Coded Welders working for our high profile client who is involved in the defence industry About Our Client Our client is a respected leader in the defence sector, working on high-profile fabrication projects across South Australia. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision, they are seeking skilled Boilermakers and Welders to join their team. What You Will Be Doing Interpreting structural and fabrication drawings with a high level of accuracy. Fabricating and welding components for large, complex engineering and defence-related structures. Operating across MMAW and GTAW welding processes, including plasma and LPG/Oxy cutting. Ensuring all fabrication and welding work meets strict quality and technical standards. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication and welding activities. Supporting production in both day and afternoon shifts, working within a 9-day fortnight Skills/Qualifications Demonstrated experience in fabrication and welding of large, complex structures Proven ability to read and interpret detailed structural drawings Sound knowledge of various fabrication techniques and trade applications Proficiency in welding processes such as GTAW and MMAW Familiar with heavy engineering or shipbuilding is highly desirable Ability to work to high quality and technical standards Basic computer skills and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement What You Will Need Australian Citizenship essential (due to defence project requirements) National Police Check mandatory Proven experience in a similar role in defence, heavy fabrication, or construction environments Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including DAS if required Whats in It for You?
