About the Role: Canberra - We are looking for a compassionate and patient Community Support Worker to provide care and support our clients with disability. Key locations: Macquarie ACT Chisholm ACT Jerrabombera NSW Googong NSW This role offers morning shift and includes personal care, domestic assistance, and other support services, including manual handling, and other high-level support needs. Role Type: Casual Key Responsibilities: Assist with personal care, daily activities and support with manual handling. Respect the client’s routine and preferences, ensuring no rush or changes to their daily schedule. Communicate effectively with the client, addressing their needs and adjusting care as required. Maintain the day-to-day chores in the house. Days/Hours of Service: Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm Key Areas of Care: Personal Care (PC) Daily Activities Assist with manual handling Sensitive communication and routine management Polite, soft-spoken, and able to be an active listener. High patience levels and ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to routine and detail. Ability to adapt to the client’s preferences and ensure consistency in care. Mandatory Requirements: Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent qualification. Previous experience working with clients who have Cerebral Palsy. Ability to assist in manual handling
