We are partnering with an established construction company delivering new builds, fit-outs and refurbishments across commercial, educational and industrial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and long-standing team tenure, they are seeking a Safety Manager to join their team. This role will support the Project Managers in the running of the safety, environment and quality systems across project sites in South East Queensland. This will involve: Promoting the development and implementation of safety, environmental and quality standards that address all compliance and due diligence requirements Conducting safety, environmental and quality audits and inspections, including a hands-on approach assisting the close out of said audits/inspections Preparing reports for site teams to close out Assisting with education and training of staff in the areas of safety, environmental and quality systems Preparing work method statements, project plans, and inspection and test plans Developing and implementing system changes and improvements. Review risk management documentation, including Safe Work Methods (SWMs), permits, and isolation procedures Demonstrate knowledge of Health & Safety Acts, Codes, and legislative requirements Ensure compliance with ISO accreditation Generate monthly reports and ensure all quality policies and procedures are current and effective Assist in auditing contractors and managing the online safety software program Experience with build pass preferred but not required About You Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Cert IV in Environmental Management preferred Prior experience in a Safety Advisor role within the Construction industry Experience in supporting stakeholder groups and teams within area of responsibility such communicating with frontline employees and first line managers Ability to interpret project related documents, preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation Quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and development skills as well as monitoring of risk controls and actions involved in delivery and implementation of projects Experience with ISO accreditations, Audits and compliance.
