About the role This is an important role responsible for building high performing teams to deliver our growth strategy. You will be a key member of our small HR team, ensuring every hire reflects our A-Player standards. In this role, HR is not a back-office function; it is a respected, high-trust strategic engine with the budget, tools, and mandate to secure the very best talent in the market. You’ll play a key role in shaping positive, inclusive candidate experiences and continuously improving recruitment practices across the organisation. As part of the SKG team, you’ll also collaborate with colleagues across the business to strengthen our brand and support broader initiatives. This position is available for an immediate start. Responsible to the HR Manager, the principle responsibilities include: Employee Lifecycle: Have a direct influence on the business by managing your own recruitment portfolio, comprising of advertising, interviewing and facilitating a smooth onboarding process for new employees including f presenting our employee Orientation sessions. Employee Documentation & Administration: Prepare and process contract variations, resignation letters and other HR related correspondence. Employee Relations & Probation: Coordinate the probation process for the business and act as a point of contact to provide advice for related queries to managers and supervisors. Compliance : Manage and maintain employee data and records for new starter and employee documentation, training attendance and parental leave processes. Workers Compensation: With support from our Sonic Healthcare Injury Management Advisor, be responsible for the processing and maintenance of workers compensation claims for the business. Coordination of HR Tasks : Take sole responsibility for coordination of staff uniforms, parental leave, and annual exit questionnaire data as required. HR Policy & Projects: Contribute to the HR policy and project work as requested by the team ensuring compliance. About you Recruiting Experience: 3 years of recruitment experience (ideally internal focused) with a track record of hiring a wide variety of roles. Problem-Solving Detective: You possess the smarts to solve complex hiring challenges, using a "hunter" mindset to find passive talent while maintaining factual and objective judgment. Unpretentious Professional: A high-level operator happy to "roll up your sleeves" and handle the end-to-end process within a small, high-performing team. A working from home arrangement of one day per week will be considered. This position requires the successful applicant to travel to all SKG branches to conduct interviews, along with other business related matters therefore a reliable vehicle and current drivers licence would be an advantage.
