About the Role We are seeking a Major Projects Business Development Lead to own and grow a national pipeline of high-value opportunities. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane , reporting directly to the CEO. This is perfect for a strategic, commercially savvy leader who thrives on closing big deals, shaping national growth, and representing the business at the highest industry levels. Regular interstate travel will be required to engage clients and lead projects across multiple states. Key Responsibilities Lead and expand a national pipeline of major projects, driving strategy, early-stage opportunity identification, and structured pipeline management Oversee revenue growth and market expansion, aligning pipeline origination, pricing, and delivery to achieve sustainable margins Build and maintain executive-level relationships with Tier 1 architects, designers, developers, builders, and corporate clients Lead, mentor, and develop regional business development teams to foster accountability, collaboration, and high performance Ensure reporting and governance excellence, providing insights to support CEO and board-level decision-making Represent the business nationally at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings About You 8 years’ experience in business development, major projects, or national sales leadership Proven success managing high-value, complex sales cycles ($5M per project) Experience influencing C-suite and board-level stakeholders Strong commercial, financial, and strategic acumen Tertiary qualification in Business, Construction, Design, or related discipline (MBA advantageous) Strategic thinker with advanced negotiation skills, leadership presence, and resilience in high-stakes, high-value environments Ideally, you come from furniture, flooring, or related industries , with experience delivering large-scale, design-led projects What’s on Offer $160k base Super , plus uncapped commissions (OTE $230k) Flexible working arrangements in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane Opportunity to lead nationally significant, career-defining projects Work within a collaborative, high-performance culture with strong leadership support Shape national strategy and growth in a respected, industry-leading organisation
