About the team: The purpose of the role is to drive customer activity and revenue growth across the Markets product and service suite and deliver new direct and indirect customers. Deepen existing sell side and buy side relationships and develop new relationships to understand challenges and identify solutions across the ASX product and service set and opportunities for product development/enhancement. Core responsibilities include the ability to: Retain and grow volume with existing participants. Cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers and develop multiple touch points across trading and clearing areas to assist with navigating challenges and delivering solutions. Deliver growth across new products, services and new customers. Promote new products and initiatives to new and existing relationships. Define and deliver a targeted sales strategy to achieve targets and track this via salesforce. Domestic support of the International activities across ASX’s technical service and data products Engage the customer base broadly and raise ASX’s profile via key marketing activities. Work effectively with our customers by deepening relationships, solving challenges, delivering value and identifying opportunities for improved market quality. You will also drive customer activity and revenue growth across the Markets product and service suite. Specifically: Retain and grow existing participants' activity and awareness across ASX’s products and services Identify prospects, develop and convert new trading participants, clearing participants and new end users across the product suite. Develop relationships with key decision makers within the organisation across trading and clearing functions, developing relationships and understanding their evolving needs. Promote new products and initiatives aligning solutions with client objectives to new and existing relationships and maintain regular strategic engagements. Deliver against a strategy to approach key customer segments and key product initiatives. Create and deliver ongoing end user education on ASX’s value proposition across trading, clearing and operational efficiencies. Identify, engage new market makers in key products. Work closely with the Product team to convert new market makers. Work with Marketing to educate and engage our customers and raise ASX’s profile via a range of events, sponsorship and content. Work with the market to identify and showcase market experts to help deliver education programs beyond ASX owned channels Manage all customer engagement and a sales pipeline of activity in Salesforce. Do not end with “any ad-hoc duties”; this is generally regarded as a given/expected What you will bring: Must have Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or any major field. Proven experience in sales and/or account management in financial markets. Established a network of key stakeholders – ie proprietary trading groups, hedge funds, ISV’s, Clearers and Buy / Sell side (institution and brokers). Deep understanding of global markets, investment banking, proprietary trading and asset management Experience with two or more key markets and its products and services: cash markets, equity derivatives, interest rate derivatives, commodity derivatives, central clearing services, technical services and data product sales. Experience with Salesforce, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Energetic self-starter, self-motivated and highly resourceful. Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrable sales and internal/external client relationship management ability. Excellent presentation skills. Customer first mentality. Collaborative team focus. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Nice to have An understanding of the role an exchange plays in a financial market. Experience with collateral & settlement platforms.
