The Role Reporting to the Head of Credit, you will work closely with Business Development Managers and key internal stakeholders. The primary purpose of this role is to assess, structure and approve complex non-coded lending transactions across residential and commercial property-backed deals. This role offers a highly commercial environment where you will be empowered to think critically, structure deals and support business growth while maintaining sound credit standards. Key Responsibilities Include Credit assessment, structuring and approval within DLA Analyse complex lending scenarios including self-employed borrowers, trusts and layered structures Recommend and escalate transactions outside of authority where required Liaise with key stakeholders including brokers, valuers, solicitors and internal teams Structure deals in line with credit policy, risk appetite and commercial objectives Maintain strong credit quality and portfolio performance Support BDMs with deal structuring and scenario analysis Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements Contribute to process improvement and operational efficiencies About You Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4–6 years’ experience within non-bank, private or specialist lending environments. You will bring strong experience in assessing complex, non-standard mortgage transactions across residential and commercial securities. Experience working with self-employed borrowers and non-traditional income verification will be highly regarded. To succeed in this role, you will have a strong understanding of Australian lending regulations, credit policy and risk frameworks, alongside the ability to balance risk with commercial outcomes. You will demonstrate excellent analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage a high volume of complex deals. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to operate autonomously while contributing to a team environment. Prior Delegated Lending Authority is required.
