Opportunity to take full ownership of our clients returnable assets portfolio…. The Client We are partnering with a market leading organisation to appoint a National Pallet Control Manager. This is a newly elevated leadership role responsible for driving performance, governance and commercial outcomes across returnable asset management throughout Australia. This opportunity will suit an experienced pallet control or returnable assets professional ready to step into a broader, product led leadership position with strategic impact. The Role Reporting to senior leadership, you will take full ownership of the returnable asset management function across Australia, with responsibility for optimising pallet control operations, improving asset visibility, reducing hire costs and eliminating losses. You will play a key role in developing and commercialising a best in class returnable asset management offering, while building strong partnerships with customers, carriers and pallet pooling providers. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the ANZ returnable asset management function Oversee CHEP, Loscam and other pallet pooling accounts, ensuring accurate transaction control and reconciliations Implement robust systems to improve asset tracking, visibility and reporting Drive cost optimisation initiatives to reduce pallet hire expenses and losses Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial agreements Develop onboarding frameworks that maximise profitability and customer benefit Provide detailed reporting and performance insights to internal stakeholders Resolve pallet discrepancies, rejections and exception management issues Build strong cross-functional relationships across operations, finance, IT and commercial teams Identify opportunities to innovate and enhance the returnable asset product offering About You You will bring: Proven experience in pallet control or returnable asset management within a sizeable transport or logistics environment Strong knowledge of pallet pooling partners and asset control systems A commercial mindset with the ability to identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities Exceptional stakeholder management skills across customers, carriers and suppliers High attention to detail with strong analytical and reporting capability The ability to operate autonomously in a fast paced, operational environment A track record of improving processes and driving operational efficiencies This role requires someone who combines operational discipline with strategic thinking, a leader who can elevate pallet control from an administrative function into a value driving business product.
